As the Mahakumbh 2025 approaches, Prayagraj is set to welcome a fleet of 100 electric buses to its roads. Authorities from the UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and the district administration have initiated route surveys for these eco-friendly vehicles. These electric buses will initially operate on 24 designated routes, subject to official approval, with plans to connect key routes in the city by February 2024.

- 100 Electric Buses: Prayagraj is gearing up to introduce 100 electric buses to its transportation system ahead of Mahakumbh 2025.
- Phase One Deployment: In the first phase, these buses will ply on 24 proposed routes, pending approval from the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
- New Charging Stations: Prayagraj will have a modern charging station at Naini, with land already identified for its construction.
- Enhanced Connectivity: The addition of these e-buses will improve connectivity on essential routes within the city.
- Board Meeting Decisions: A board meeting will decide on matters such as creating new charging points, bus maintenance, and infrastructure development.
- Health Preparations for Air Force Flypast: The district administration has directed hospitals to reserve 200 beds for October 8, coinciding with the grand Air Force flypast in Prayagraj. Blood banks are also required to stock sufficient units of blood for potential emergencies during the event.
- Intensive Preparations: Hospitals are ensuring that ICU, ventilator, and other resources are in top condition for the influx of citizens and VVIPs during the air show.
