UPSRTC Announces Special Buses for Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has unveiled a comprehensive transportation plan to accommodate the massive influx of devotees during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, beginning January 13, 2025.
Key Transport Arrangements
- 7,000 Rural Buses: UPSRTC will deploy 7,000 buses from nearby districts to manage the large number of pilgrims.
- 350 Shuttle Buses: Shuttle buses will operate within the Maha Kumbh area to facilitate local travel.
- Electric Buses: Environment-friendly electric buses will also be introduced, ensuring a sustainable mode of transport.
Temporary Bus Stations
To ensure smooth operations, eight temporary bus stations have been set up in the outer fair area of the Maha Kumbh region. These stations will handle transit for key bathing days and are designed to manage crowds effectively.
