In a request to relieve the financial burden on women and senior citizens traveling in rural areas, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has launched the ‘T-9 Ticket’ for Palle Velugu buses. The ticket is aimed at benefiting a large number of women and senior citizens who commute daily in these buses.
Unveiling of the ‘T-9 Ticket’
VC Sajjanar, the managing director of TSRTC, unveiled the ‘T-9 Ticket’ poster at Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad. Starting from June 18, passengers can avail of the ticket from the bus conductors of Palle Velugu buses.
Ticket Validity and Cost
The ‘T-9 Ticket’ is valid for travel within a 60-kilometer radius between 9 am and 6 pm. The price of T-9 Ticket at Rs 100, the ticket includes an exemption from toll gate charges. By using this ticket, passengers can save between Rs 20 to Rs 40 per journey, as per VC Sajjanar.
Special Provision for Senior Citizens
Individuals above 60 years of age can avail of the T-9 ticket by showing their Aadhaar card to the conductors. The ticket issuance for senior citizens will take place between 9 am and 4 pm, limited to travel within Telangana limits.
