TSRTC goes the extra mile for Raksha Bandhan! 3,000 special buses to ensure seamless travel during the festive season in Telangana

In a bid to make Raksha Bandhan celebrations even more special, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has rolled out an impressive plan, offering a whopping 3,000 special buses across the state. These buses will ensure that families and friends can come together to celebrate this joyous occasion without any travel hassles.

A Grand Celebration

  • Special Buses Galore: TSRTC has made elaborate arrangements for Raksha Bandhan by introducing a total of 3,000 special buses.
  • Three-Day Extravaganza: These special buses will operate on August 29, 30, and 31, with 1,000 services running each day. This extended celebration period allows more people to enjoy the festivities with their loved ones.

Strategic Deployment

  • Strategic Locations: Special buses have been strategically placed to cater to passenger traffic on routes connecting Hyderabad to various cities and towns, including Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Hanamkonda, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Godavarikhani, Manchiryal, and more.
  • Efficient Teams: Special teams will be stationed at high-traffic areas like Uppal, LB Nagar, Aramghar, JBS, and MGBS to ensure smooth operations and assist passengers.

Impressive Previous Year Record

  • Revenue Milestone: In the previous year, TSRTC achieved a remarkable feat by earning revenue of Rs. 20 crore on a single day during Raksha Bandhan.
  • High Occupancy: The overall occupancy rate stood at an impressive 87 percent, with 12 bus depots recording full occupancy, showcasing the overwhelming demand for travel services during this festive season.

A Tradition of Togetherness

  • United Celebrations: Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion that brings families and friends together to celebrate the bond of love and protection shared between siblings.
  • Unprecedented Income: TSRTC’s revenue during last year’s Raksha Bandhan festivities exceeded that of the united Andhra Pradesh State during the same period.
  • Coordination and Support: Officials have been advised to collaborate closely with the police and transport department in areas experiencing high passenger traffic, ensuring a safe and enjoyable travel experience.

As Raksha Bandhan approaches, TSRTC’s thoughtful initiative not only eases travel woes but also strengthens the cherished bonds that make this festival so special. With 3,000 special buses at their service, people across Telangana can look forward to celebrating Raksha Bandhan with their loved ones, regardless of the distances that separate them.
