The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is gearing up for a major eco-friendly transformation, with plans to launch 1,860 express, deluxe, and super luxury electric buses in December. This ambitious move signals a significant shift towards sustainable public transportation.

TSRTC Expanding Electric Bus Operations

  • Current Operations: TSRTC is already operating ten electric buses on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, and they are now ready to extend their electric fleet to serve various routes.
  • Variety of Buses: The order includes a range of electric buses, including express, deluxe, and super luxury models.

Ensuring Quality and Timely Delivery

  • Personal Inspection: TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar personally visited the JBM Group manufacturing facility in Palwal, Haryana, to oversee the production of these new electric buses.
  • Collaborative Efforts: During the visit, JBM Group Head Sales (North) Mukesh Sharma discussed the project with TSRTC GM Operations Prashant Sharma, providing valuable suggestions to expedite the construction process.
  • Delivery in Installments: JBM Group is set to deliver 500 electric buses to TSRTC in installments, with the first batch expected in December.

Passenger-Centric Features

  • State-of-the-Art Amenities: The new electric buses will be equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring passenger comfort is a top priority.
  • Security Enhancements: These buses will feature passenger counting facilities and CCTV cameras for enhanced security. Fire Detection Suppression Systems (FDSS) will be installed to detect and prevent fire accidents.
  • Convenience Features: The buses will also include a reverse parking assistance camera and LED boards for destination details.
