TNSTC Special Buses to Ooty
- Twenty TNSTC special buses are operated from both Coimbatore and Mettupalayam to Ooty to clear the extra rush.
- This initiative aims to provide convenient travel options, especially for tourists preferring government buses due to e-pass restrictions.
Expected Increase in Tourist Flow
- The tourist flow to the Nilgiris is growing annually, leading to the operation of 80 regular buses from Coimbatore to Ooty and Gudalur.
- More special buses will be operated during the upcoming flower show from May 10 to May 20, which is expected to attract a large number of visitors.
Other Bus Services
- TNSTC, Coimbatore division, is also operating 12 air-conditioned bus services to Trichy, nine to Madurai, 10 to Salem, and two to Thanjavur.
- There has been an increase in passengers in AC buses due to the ongoing heat wave.
TNSTC’s decision to run special buses to Ooty reflects its commitment to providing efficient and comfortable transportation services for tourists and residents alike.
