The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), Kumbakonam Division, has announced the operation of special bus services for the annual Velankanni festival, which takes place at the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health in Nagapattinam district. These services will run continuously from August 28 to September 9 to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.

- 24/7 Operations: TNSTC will operate buses around the clock from multiple locations across Tamil Nadu and neighboring regions, including Chennai, Dindigul, Madurai, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Puducherry, and more.
- Wide Coverage: The special buses will connect Velankanni with key cities and towns, ensuring convenient access for pilgrims traveling from various parts of the state and beyond.
- Passenger Assistance: Special passenger service centers will be set up in the locations above to assist and guide travelers heading to Velankanni, enhancing the overall travel experience.
