This initiative aims to facilitate the pilgrimage for devotees from Dindigul, Palani, Trichy, and Madurai during the significant Mandala Pooja and Makara Vilakku celebrations.

- Rising Devotee Numbers: Devotees from Dindigul, Palani, Trichy, and Madurai are increasingly heading to Sabarimala as the pilgrimage season kicks off.
- Peak Days on Dec 27 and Jan 15: The influx of pilgrims significantly rises on Dec 27 and Jan 15 due to Mandala Pooja and Makara Vilakku in the Sabarimala temple.
- Special Buses from Dec 15 to Jan 16: To cater to the heightened demand, TNSTC Madurai will operate special buses from these locations to Kumily from Dec 15 to Jan 16, 2024.
Enhanced Services for Pilgrims
- Additional Buses on Peak Days: On Dec 27, 2023, 100 special buses will be deployed to Kumily to accommodate the surge in pilgrims.
- Flexibility Based on Demand: The number of special buses for Makara Vilakku on Jan 15, 2024, will be adjusted based on demand.
- Increased Officials Presence: TNSTC has stationed additional officials at key locations, including Kumily, Dindigul, Palani, Trichy, and Madurai, to assist and guide pilgrims on their sacred journey to Sabarimala.
