On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) introduced 15 new buses in Erode. The launch event, held at the Corporation’s Central Bus terminal, was graced by Minister for Housing and Urban Development S. Muthusamy, Minister for Transport S.S. Sivasankar, and Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara.

- Coimbatore to Mysuru: 3 buses via Sathyamangalam.
- Erode to Nagercoil: 2 buses via Karur.
- Erode to Kumili: 1 bus via Dindigul.
- Anthiyur to Kambam: 1 bus via Dindigul.
- Gobichettipalayam to Sathyamangalam: 1 bus via Bungalowpudur, Four Road.
- City Bus: 1 bus will operate within Erode city.
- Mofussil Buses: 14 buses will serve routes connecting Erode to various districts, enhancing regional connectivity.
- Compliance and Benefits
- BS6 Compliance: All new buses adhere to the Bharat Stage 6 emission standards, ensuring environmental sustainability.
- Free Travel Scheme: Under the scheme, TNSTC buses offer free travel for women, differently-abled individuals, and transgenders.
- Daily Beneficiaries: 3,06,215 women, 1,892 differently-abled persons, and 147 transgenders benefit daily.
- Total Beneficiaries (July 2021 – June 2024): 30,86,64,613 women.
