Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) to operate 275 special buses from Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, and Tiruvannamalai. Buses to operate from April 17 to facilitate travel for voters to their hometowns for polling day on April 19.
TNSTC Special Buses for Lok Sabha Elections
- 200 buses to operate to Chennai’s bus termini in Koyambedu, Kilambakkam, and Madhavaram.
- Additional buses to operate to Bengaluru, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Tiruchi, Madurai, and Puducherry for voters returning to their hometowns.
Facilitating Return Journeys
- Special buses to operate till April 21 (Monday) evening to facilitate return journeys after the casting of votes.
- Decision made to accommodate commuters returning after the weekend.
