In preparation for the weekend rush, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Department has unveiled plans to operate additional TNSTC buses across the state starting from Friday. This initiative is aimed at accommodating the surge in passengers during the weekend.

- Friday: 275 buses
- Saturday: 315 buses
- Sunday: More buses to be added as needed
- Routes and Destinations:
- From Kilambakkam: Buses to Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur.
- From Koyambedu: Buses to Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru.
- From Bengaluru, Tiruppur, Erode, and Coimbatore: Additional buses to various parts of the state.
Passenger Booking and Availability
- Current Bookings:
- Friday: 8,739 passengers
- Saturday: 3,414 passengers
- Sunday: 8,107 passengers
Additional Measures
- Spare buses will be available to manage any breakdowns or unforeseen issues.
- The department is prepared to deploy more buses if the demand increases.
