With the highly anticipated Brahmotsavam festival on the horizon, the Vellore zone of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) is gearing up to meet the expected surge in travel demand. In a bid to accommodate devotees and holidaymakers during this auspicious period, TNSTC will operate 31 additional buses from Vellore and Tirupattur to Tirupati. Here are the details:
TNSTC Meeting the Festival Demand
- Festival Season: The Brahmotsavam festival, known for its grandeur and spiritual significance, draws a significant number of pilgrims and tourists. In anticipation of this, TNSTC has decided to provide additional transportation options.
- Travel Dates: These special services will be available between October 15 to October 23, aligning with the festival’s schedule.
TNSTC Distribution of Buses
- Vellore’s Share: Out of the total of 31 additional buses, the majority—25 buses—will be operated from Vellore, a prominent city in the Vellore zone.
- Tirupattur’s Contribution: Tirupattur, another significant town, will contribute to the service with six buses connecting to Tirupati during the festival period.
- Enhanced Connectivity: Vellore, which already operates 15 regular buses to Tirupati, will now offer a total of 40 buses during this festival period, ensuring extensive connectivity for travelers.
TNSTC Special Buses for Various Routes
- Chennai Departures: Special buses are also being operated from Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT), Koyambedu, to destinations including Vellore, Hosur, Tirupattur, and Dharmapuri during weekends and on Mondays.
- Efficient Operations: Special squads have been set up to monitor and ensure the smooth operation of these buses, emphasizing the commitment to providing a hassle-free travel experience.
