Tamil Nadu State Transport Department will run 925 special buses this weekend to handle increased travel demand, ensuring smoother journeys across the state with added routes and online booking options.

To handle the increased travel demand, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Department will operate 925 special buses from Friday to Sunday, supplementing the routine government bus services.

TNSTC Weekend Special Buses Key Details:

  • Special Buses Schedule:
      • 600 buses from Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus (KCBT) Kilambakkam in Chennai to major cities including Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Salem, and Tirunelveli on Friday and Saturday.
      • 130 buses from CMBT Koyambedu to destinations such as Nagapattinam, Hosur, Bengaluru, and Erode.
      • 30 buses on the Chennai-Tiruvannamalai route.
  • Additional Services:
    • 200 extra buses from Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Erode to Chennai and other districts within Tamil Nadu.

Passenger Reservations:

  • Over 16,150 passengers have already reserved tickets online.
  • TNSTC bus tickets can be easily booked via AbhiBus mobile app.

This initiative aims to ensure smooth and convenient travel for passengers during the busy weekend period.
