Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) is set to launch direct bus services from Jaipur to Ayodhya, catering to the growing demand of pilgrims visiting the Shri Ramlala temple. With preparations underway, here are the key details:
RSRTC Buses Inauguration and Operational Details
- Starting Date: Commencing on February 26, RSRTC will provide direct bus services from all seven divisions of the state to Ayodhya.
- Existing Service: Currently, an AC sleeper bus departs from Jaipur’s Sindhi Camp every evening at 6:20 pm, reaching Ayodhya at 8 am the next day. The return journey begins at 4:30 pm, reaching Jaipur at 7 am the following morning.
Jaipur to Ayodhya Fare Structure and Bookings
- Fare Details: The fare for a seat is Rs 1644, and for sleeper class, it is Rs 1705. Women can avail seats for Rs 1480 and sleepers for Rs 1542.
- Increased Bookings: Previously without specific Ayodhya bookings, the bus now records 15 to 20 bookings daily.
Initial Operations and Future Plans
- Limited Buses: Due to a shortage of buses, initially, only three-by-two express buses will operate from places other than Jaipur. This might lack some comfort but serves as an alternative travel option.
- Upcoming AC Buses: RSRTC has tendered about 76 AC buses, expected to be available in approximately four months. The fare list is yet to be finalized, with a minimum fare expectation of Rs 1200.
Discounts for Women Passengers
Women will receive a discount of up to fifty percent on government-provided buses within Rajasthan borders, in line with existing exemption policies.
As RSRTC expands its services to Ayodhya, this initiative aims to provide a more convenient and comfortable travel option for pilgrims and travelers.
