In response to the anticipated surge in passengers during the Shravan month, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will operate 35 additional buses between Nashik and Trimbakeshwar every Monday from August 5 through September 2.
Increased Service Details
- Route Enhancements: The additional buses will run between Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, which is about 30 km from Nashik. This brings the total number of trips to 149 each Monday.
- Purpose: The increase aims to accommodate the higher influx of pilgrims visiting the Trimbakeshwar temple, especially on Mondays, which are considered auspicious.
- New Routes: Five extra trips will also be introduced between Igatpuri and Trimbakeshwar, via Vaitarna, and five in the reverse direction. This will help passengers arriving by long-distance trains at Igatpuri or Kasara station.
Enhanced Accessibility
- Operational Times: The additional services will help manage the increased passenger load and facilitate smooth travel during the peak pilgrimage season.
- Target Audience: These services are particularly aimed at pilgrims and travelers arriving by train or those coming from other areas to visit the revered temple.
The MSRTC’s initiative ensures that pilgrims have better access and travel options during the busy Shravan month.
