Holi, the vibrant festival of colors, is around the corner, and with it comes the joyous tradition of reuniting with loved ones. To accommodate the surge in travel demand during this festive season, the Thane division of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced the deployment of 126 additional buses. These buses will cater to passengers traveling to Konkan from Thane, Kalyan, and Vitthalwadi, ensuring a seamless and convenient journey for all.
MSRTC Enhanced Services for Holi
- The MSRTC Thane division will operate 126 additional buses from March 22 to 26, 2024.
- 106 buses will be reserved for general passengers, while 20 will operate on a group booking basis.
- This year, 12 more buses have been added compared to last year, reflecting the commitment to enhancing travel facilities.
- The Thane-2 depot will see the maximum number of additional buses, with 39 buses scheduled to operate.
MSRTC Schedule and Destinations
- The main Holi festival falls on March 24, with Dhulivandan celebrations following on March 25.
- Additional buses will start operating from March 22, with a focus on March 23 to 26 for peak travel.
- Thane-1 depot will operate 29 buses to destinations including Mahad, Pali, Chiplun, Poladpur, Durgewadi, Kase, and Dapoli.
- Thane-2 depot will have 39 buses serving Shirgaon, Fauji Ambawade, Chiplun, Shivtharghal, Kotwal, Dapoli, Mahad, Guhagar, and Khed.
- Kalyan depot will run 23 buses to Poladpur, Kotwal, Diveagar, Fauji Ambawade, Shivtharghal, Khed, Chiplun, and Dapoli.
