The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has introduced its first-ever non-AC sleeper coach buses on two routes in Mumbai. These sleeper coach buses provide passengers with a comfortable and cost-effective travel option.

- Mumbai Central to Banda: The non-AC sleeper coach bus operating on this route will pass through Pune and Kolhapur. The fare for this journey is Rs 1,245. The bus departs at 6:30 PM.
- Borivali to Banda: The sleeper coach operating from Borivali to Banda takes the Mahad and Chiplun route. The fare for this route is Rs 1,169. The bus is well-ventilated, providing passengers with a comfortable journey experience.

Production and Features
These buses were manufactured at the MSRTC’s central facility in Dapodi, Pune. They have received approval from both state transport ministries and will soon operate on the Mumbai to Panaji (Goa) route. Each bus offers 30 sleeping accommodations along with safety features.
Pune-Nagpur Route Expansion
The MSRTC has further plans to expand its services, with a sleeper bus on the Pune-Nagpur route. This bus can accommodate up to 45 passengers, with 15 dedicated sleeper berths and 30 traditional seating options. Two buses will operate daily, departing from Nagpur and Pune at 12 PM and 5 PM, respectively.
These new services aim to provide commuters with a convenient and budget-friendly travel alternative, particularly during peak seasons when demand for transportation is high.
