MSRTC introduces 'Jan Shivneri' bus service, for the Nashik-Pune route, offering enhanced connectivity and comfort to passengers.

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has exciting news for travelers between Nashik and Pune. The MSRTC Nashik division has reintroduced the ‘Volvo’ bus service on this popular route, now re-branded as ‘Jan Shivneri.’ Here are the key details:

Jan Shivneri Hourly Bus Service for Enhanced Convenience

  • The ‘Jan Shivneri’ bus service will operate on an hourly basis from 5 am to noon daily, starting from Nashik and returning in the evening from Pune.
  • The timing of the bus service is designed to accommodate the high flow of traffic between the two cities, catering to the needs of commuters traveling for various purposes.

Jan Shivneri Replaces Shiv Shahi Buses

  • The MSRTC officials have made a strategic decision to replace the Shiv Shahi buses, which previously served the Nashik-Pune route, with the ‘Jan Shivneri bus service.
  • The Shiv Shahi buses have been discontinued following the end of the contract with a private player on June 30.
  • This transition allows MSRTC to utilize the electricity-run Shivai buses, previously serving the Mumbai-Pune route, on the Nashik-Pune route.

MSRTC Jan Shivneri Bus Fare

  • The fare for the Jan Shivneri bus service is set at Rs 500, slightly higher than the fare (Rs 475) for the Shiv Shahi buses.
  • However, considering the premium features and enhanced comfort provided by the Jan Shivneri buses, the fare remains cost-effective for passengers.
  • Previously, traveling on this route with similar amenities would have cost Rs 700, making the ‘Jan Shivneri’ service a more affordable option.

Expansion of MSRTC Electric Buses

  • The MSRTC Nashik division has recently received seven electric buses, adding to their fleet of environment-friendly vehicles.
  • The drivers have undergone training at the company’s facility in Bangalore to ensure smooth operations.
  • The number of electric buses will soon increase to ten, with additional drivers also being sent to Bangalore for training.
  • This expansion aligns with MSRTC’s commitment to sustainable transportation and reducing carbon emissions.

With the reintroduction of the ‘Jan Shivneri’ bus service on the Nashik-Pune route, MSRTC aims to provide seamless connectivity and enhanced comfort to passengers. Whether you are a frequent commuter or a traveler seeking a convenient and comfortable journey, the ‘Jan Shivneri’ buses are here to cater to your needs. Enjoy the exceptional travel experience offered by MSRTC and make your bookings today.
