In light of the significant inflow of Malayalis heading back to Kerala to participate in the Onam celebrations, the KSRTC has taken the initiative to operate 19 special bus services on August 25. The special bus services are set to operate from the Satellite and Shanthi Nagar Bus Depots in Bengaluru. To add an extra layer of savings for passengers during the holiday season, the KSRTC has introduced discounts for group bookings. Passengers booking four or more tickets simultaneously will be eligible for a 5% discount on their fares. Moreover, travelers can avail themselves of a generous 10% discount on the return ticket if they choose to book a round-trip journey. These discounts are designed to enhance affordability for families and groups traveling together to celebrate Onam.
Reciprocal Gesture from Kerala RTC
On the flip side, the Kerala Road Transport Corporation (RTC) has also announced its own set of special bus services to accommodate the influx of travelers during the Onam holidays. A total of ten special bus services will be operational from August 24 to 27.
