Karnataka RTC (KSRTC) is gearing up to introduce more multi-axle sleeper AC bus services to Kerala, enhancing connectivity and comfort for travelers.
New Services and Features:
- ‘Ambari Utsav class’ buses will operate services to Ernakulam, while ‘Ambari Dream class’ buses will run in the Kottayam and Alappuzha routes.
- These services are expected to commence in a month, coinciding with the arrival of the new batch of buses.
- Currently, Volvo’s Ambari class buses serve Ernakulam and Thrissur.
- Sleeper buses will replace the semi-sleeper Airavat Club Class buses on the Alappuzha and Kottayam routes.
- KSRTC has ordered 40 new buses in the Ambari Dream class series, with 20 already in service since February.
Enhanced Connectivity:
- Kerala RTC SWIFT has eight Gajaraja AC Sleeper class services from Bengaluru, with four buses each allotted to Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam.
- Additionally, an AC and a non-AC bus in the seater-cum-sleeper category operate services to Thiruvananthapuram.
