To attract more Malayali passengers, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced a significant reduction in ticket prices for its Premium AC buses to Kerala.
Monsoon Discount Details

- Discount Period: July 1 to the first week of August
- Discount Rate: 10% reduction
- Reduction Amount: Rs 100 – 150 per ticket
- Eligible Buses:

- Ambari Utsav class (Monday to Thursday)
- Ambari Dream Class
- Iravat Club Class
- Ambari Sleeper
- Iravat buses
Exceptions
- Non-Discounted Buses: Rajahamsa and Pallakki Non AC Sleeper buses
- Weekend Services: Regular weekend services and special buses will continue to charge flexi rates (15 – 20% more).

KSRTC operates AC buses to the following destinations in Kerala:
- Thiruvananthapuram
- Alappuzha
- Kottayam
- Ernakulam
- Thrissur
- Palakkad
- Kozhikode
- Kannur
Passenger Experience Enhancements
To improve passenger satisfaction, KSRTC employees have been instructed to stop at high-quality restaurants or resting places.
Kerala RTC’s Stance
Kerala RTC has not yet made any decisions regarding monsoon discounts. Currently, weekend AC bus passengers pay up to 20% more due to flexi rates. However, tickets for KSRTC’s Gajaraja sleeper buses remain cheaper than those for Ambari Utsav class buses.
