- Sarkaghat: Sarkaghat is experiencing disruptions on 106 routes, further exacerbating the situation.
Financial Implications
The HRTC Managing Director, Rohan Thakur, expressed concerns over the financial implications of these disruptions:
Additional Burden: The HRTC will incur an additional burden of Rs 1 crore per month due to the withdrawal of the Rs 1.5 per litre discount by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
Seeking Resolution: In light of the natural disaster in the state and the financial challenges faced by the HRTC, authorities plan to take up the matter with the Union Petroleum Ministry to seek a resolution.
The HRTC’s efforts to provide reliable bus services face significant challenges as obstructed roads disrupt a substantial portion of its routes. In this time of natural disaster, resolving road obstructions and addressing financial implications become crucial to ensure continued transportation services for the residents of Himachal Pradesh.
