The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is all set to make traveling between Hamirpur and New Delhi a breeze with the introduction of two new bus services via Chandigarh. These services, one Volvo and one deluxe bus, promise to deliver faster, more economical, and convenient journeys for passengers. Here’s what you need to know:

New Route via Kiratpur-Manali Four-Lane Highway

The newly inaugurated bus services will follow a route through the recently constructed Kiratpur-Manali four-lane highway, optimizing travel times and passenger comfort.

  • Time Efficiency: The journey from Hamirpur to Chandigarh is now a swift 3 hours and 50 minutes, while the route to New Delhi takes only 8 hours and 50 minutes, saving travelers valuable time.
  • Economical Travel: Passengers can expect cost-effective travel, with the fare for the Volvo bus being cheaper by Rs 83 and the deluxe bus fare reduced by Rs 39 compared to other options.

Convenient Departure Times

The HRTC has carefully scheduled the departure times for maximum convenience:

  • Deluxe Bus: Departs from Hamirpur at 6:30 pm.
  • Volvo Bus: Leaves Hamirpur at 8:00 pm.

These well-timed departures allow passengers to save approximately one hour and 45 minutes of travel time on this route.

Efficient Route Details

Both buses will travel through a series of key stops, ensuring accessibility for passengers:

  • Route: Bhota, Ukhali, Ghumarwin, Bagher, Kiratpur, Chandigarh, and New Delhi.
  • Return Route: Mirrors the same stops and cities.

Return Journeys

For the return journeys, here are the timings and routes:

  • Deluxe Bus from New Delhi: Departs at 7:45 pm and arrives in Chandigarh at 12:45 am.
  • Volvo Bus from New Delhi: Leaves at 9:20 pm, reaching Chandigarh at 2:20 am.

Notably, when traveling to New Delhi, these buses will drop passengers at the Sector 17 bus stand in Chandigarh, while on the return journey, they will utilize the Sector 43 bus stand in Chandigarh.

Future Plans

The HRTC has ambitious plans to further enhance connectivity. It intends to introduce more buses on this route and divert some of them to Shimla via the Bharari bridge and AIIMS. This strategic move will not only reduce travel time to Shimla but also provide a direct bus service to AIIMS in Bilaspur.

Plan Your Swift Journey
