Increased Bus Services
- Special Buses: MSRTC will operate an additional 4,300 special ST buses from September 2 to September 17.
- Route Coverage: These buses will run between Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and various districts in the Konkan region.
- Previous Year Comparison: Last year, MSRTC ran 3,500 extra buses, but this year’s increase of 800 additional buses aims to better meet rising demand.
Discounts and Booking Information
- Senior Citizens: Amrut senior citizens (above 75 years) will receive a 100% discount on group reservations.
- Other Discounts: Senior citizens and women will enjoy a 50% discount on individual ticket fares.
- Booking Options: Tickets can be booked online via the MSRTC official website or the MSRTC Bus Reservation app.
Complementary Rail Services
- Special Trains: In addition to the bus services, the railways have announced 202 special trains to the Konkan region to manage the travel demand during the festival.
