The Uttar Pradesh government will be introducing electric buses on the Ram Path and Dharma Path in Ayodhya in expectation of high tourist and pilgrim footfall to the Ram Temple.

In anticipation of the consecration of Lord Ram on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh government unveils ambitious plans for Ayodhya’s infrastructure and transportation. Electric buses, golf carts, and e-rickshaws are set to enhance the city’s connectivity, catering to the expected surge in tourist footfall.

Ramotsav 2024 Transformational Initiatives

  • Electric Buses Launch: Introduction of electric buses on the Dharma Path and Ram Path to accommodate pilgrims and tourists visiting the Ram Temple.
  • Operational Date: Commencement of 100 electric buses from January 15 onwards.
  • City-Wide Connectivity: Golf carts and e-rickshaws to enhance local transportation convenience.

Enhanced Parking Facilities for Ramotsav 2024

  • Corridor Construction: Construction of corridors for efficient bus operations.
  • Parking Spaces: Development of various parking facilities, both temporary and permanent, from Saket Petrol Pump to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.
  • Area Marking: New areas marked at Udaya Chowk on Chaudah Kosi and Panchkosi Parikrama routes.
  • Total Acreage: Development of parking lots covering 70 acres (10 acres, 35 acres, and 25 acres).

Pathways of Ayodhya Ram Mandir

  • Ram Path and Dharma Path: Integral paths in Ayodhya, contributing to the cultural and spiritual landscape.
  • Bhakti Path and Janmabhoomi Path: Completing the quartet, these paths are inspired by the concepts of the four Vedas and four eras.

CM’s Inspection and Meetings

  • Yogi Adityanath’s Visit: Chief Minister to inspect water works, police control room, and tent cities in Ayodhya.
  • Meeting with Trust Officials: Discussion with Ram temple trust officials and seers on preparations for the consecration ceremony.
