To manage the surge of pilgrims during the upcoming Tirumala Brahmotsavam, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has collaborated with Tamil Nadu transport bodies to ensure seamless travel.
Key Highlights of the Plan
- Collaboration with Tamil Nadu: APSRTC, along with Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) and State Express Transport Corporation (SETC), will run a total of 300 buses, with 150 APSRTC buses and 150 TNSTC buses.
- Expanded Bus Services: APSRTC will run buses on key routes from Tamil Nadu to Tirupati, including:
- Tirupati-Chennai: 35 buses (30 via Uthukota and 5 via Srikalahasti)
- Other Destinations: 20 to Kanchi, 10 to Tiruvannamalai, 65 to Vellore, 15 to Krishnagiri, and 5 to Hosur.
- Tamil Nadu’s Contribution: TNSTC and SETC will operate services from Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Puducherry, Salem, Coimbatore, and other major cities.
Coordinated Efforts for Smooth Operations
- Operational Meeting: APSRTC and Tamil Nadu officials met to finalize the service details and ensure a smooth travel experience for the pilgrims.
- Officials Present: The meeting included key representatives from APSRTC and Tamil Nadu transport corporations to coordinate efforts across states.
This initiative aims to provide reliable and efficient transport for the thousands of devotees attending the Brahmotsavam, ensuring their journey to Tirumala is smooth and hassle-free.
