As the Dussehra festival approaches, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is set to bring joy to travelers with 1000 special buses connecting various cities to Vijayawada. This initiative aims to make the festive journey a hassle-free and cost-effective experience.
APSRTC Special Buses for Dussehra Festival
- Festival Season Arrivals: In celebration of the Dussehra festival, APSRTC has arranged for special buses to connect Vijayawada with cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Rajahmundry, and Visakhapatnam.
- No Extra Charges: To make the festivities even more accessible, no additional charges will be levied on these special services. They will be available from October 13 to 26.
APSRTC Increased Bus Services for Dasara
- Expanded Routes: In addition to the 355 buses that currently operate daily from Hyderabad to various parts of Andhra Pradesh, APSRTC will run additional services for the Dussehra season.
- Various Destinations: A thousand buses are arranged from Vijayawada to connect with Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Amalapuram, Rajamahendravaram, Tirupati, Bhadrachalam, and Rayalaseema.
- Gradual Increase: The number of buses is set to increase progressively from October 18 to accommodate the festive rush.
APSRTC Discounts and Special Arrangements
- Control at Vijayawada Bus Terminal: Special arrangements will be made at the Vijayawada Bus Terminal to manage the influx of special buses.
- Ticket Discounts: Passengers can enjoy a 10 percent discount if they buy a ticket for the onward and return journey simultaneously. An additional 5% discount is offered for tickets booked through the APSRTC wallet. Families of four traveling together can avail of another 5% discount. Senior citizens over 60 years will receive a 25% discount on all AC and non-AC services.
- Aadhaar Card Requirement: Travelers must present a digital Aadhaar card while boarding.
Additional Services from Hyderabad
- Festive Travel: APSRTC will run special buses from Hyderabad, catering to those heading to their hometowns during the festive holidays. Buses will depart from BHEL, Miyapur, ECIL, and MGBS.
- Avoiding Congestion: To minimize congestion at MGBS, regular and special buses traveling to Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor, Nellore, Ongole, Macherla, and other places will operate from the old CBS premises opposite MGBS from October 21 to 23.
